Founded in 2020, Last Resort Resources is a well-supported, privately owned prospect generator serving the mineral exploration industry in Canada. 

After more than 5,000 hours of research and more than 5,000 mining claims staked, Last Resort Resources—together with Bounty Gold Corp—have made four greenfield lithium discoveries across Ontario, each representing new districts of their own. These discoveries accounted for more than half of all new lithium finds in the province during that period and earned the prestigious Bernie Schneider's NWOPA Discovery of the Year Award two years in a row. 

We are proud to have industry leading  explorers like Kenorland Minerals and world-class majors like Barrick Gold (Ontario) and Rio Tinto (Quebec) advancing  our projects with high priority targets. 

Given our research and exploration success, we have expanded our search to include gold, silver and other critical minerals; applying the same research methodologies and relentless fieldwork in search of the next new discovery in Canada.  In that regard,  we maintain a portfolio projects with Tier-1 exploration targets and exceptional discovery potential. 

Early success is credited to OGS geologists like Cerny, Breaks, Tindle, and Selway whose research and fieldwork helped us know what to look for and gave us a starting place for where to look AND to fellow prospectors like Byron Holbik, Jason Ploeger, and Patrick Gryba who were never short on advice or encouragement. DEC25 – Expanded the Bad Vermillion Lake Fe-Ti-V Project to include the L28 Zone, extending the mineralized corridor along over 10 km of strike. At surface, the L28 exposure comprises three mineralized zones over ~200 m; (OFR 6232). Historical drilling (hole Nu-08-02) intersected three stacked iron-titanium zones totaling 39 m true width, including 23 m averaging 55.5% Fe, 18.9% TiO₂ and 0.32% V₂O₅, plus two additional 8 m zones averaging 60.6% Fe, 26.2% TiO₂ and 0.14% V₂O₅, and 57.6% Fe, 25.2% TiO₂ and 0.13% V₂O₅; confirming L28 as a wide, high-grade, Fe-Ti-V horizon and reinforcing the significant tonnage potential of the complex as a whole.   https://www.geologyontario.mines.gov.on.ca/persistent-linking?mineral-inventory=MDI000000001026

NOV25 - Staked the 15K+ hectare Cisco West Lithium Property in Quebec, immediately west of QTWO. Covering the western 40km of the Frotet–Evans Greenstone Belt along the same structural corridor that hosts the world’s largest lithium intercept of 457.4 metres @ 1.65% Li₂O. 

NOV25 -  Staked the Bad Vermillion Lake Fe–Ti–V prospect with reported historical resources of 1.53 Mt @ >15% TiO₂ and 3.48 Mt @ 10% TiO₂. Property covers 4 km of strike of a ~20m+ wide band of massive ilmenite–magnetite mineralization with assays of 38–60% Fe, 8–27% Ti,  and up to .3% V. May25- Staked the Surprise Lake Gold Project. 45 Km E of Red Lake. Host of significant gold mineralization, up to .89 and 1.03 oz/ton, in shear zones and quartz veins associated with an important D2 structure and its intersection with a regionally important Mesoarchean-Neoarchean angular unconformity. 

April25- Staked the Forester Lake Gold Project. 35 Km SE of Musselwhite mine.  Likewise, compelling gold mineralization has been confirmed in a complexly folded iron formation on property.  Most recent drilling in 2013 intercepted 7.67 g/t Au over 2.85m in a shallow with no follow-up. Sampling of shear zones and quartz veins across the property has yielded spectacular results with several samples from different areas returning 118.63 - 182.74 g/t Au. 

April25 - Congratulations to Jason Leblanc, Bounty Gold Corp,  & Libra Lithium on 2024 Bernie Schneider Discovery of the Year Award!  

MAR25 - Staked the Spook Lake Gold Property covering duplicate gold anomalies in Lake Sediment and Soils..  20Km NE of the Hammond Reef Gold Deposit. Bedrock source yet to be located.

FEB25 - Drilling Permits Approved for Slimjim Copper Project and Stimson Lithium-Cesium-Tantalum Project

JAN25 - Staked the Muriel-Marr Lake Cu-Ni-Ag-Au Property.  Host to EM conductors over 6km with multiple surface showings with assays up to  12% Cu, 5.8% Zn, 1540 g/t Ag, and 5.6 g/t Au. 

DEC24 -  Data review uncovers significant Gallium Potential at Victory and Wisa Lake with assays up to 385 ppm Ga. 

NOV24 - VICTORY Project Returned to  Bounty Gold & Last Resort.

Multiple Spodumene discoveries over 6.5km.  Promising assay results support potential for additional discoveries that would extend the mineralized trend to over 13 Kilometers.

OCT24 - Assays received from Red Lake & Slim-Jim with spectacular results up to 80.8 g/t Au +103 g/t Ag at Red Lake and 1.2% - 4.46% Cu + 79 g/t Ag from Slim-Jim.
